Varun Tuli completed his Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2005, but food is the greatest passion for the young restaurateur who is also a budding chef.

As a continuously innovating entrepreneur, Varun is always looking for new ways and ideas to bring to life individual passions. In 2008, Varun decided to follow his passion and setup Yum Yum Tree, India’s first restaurant with conveyer belt sushi. YYC expanded to DLF Cyber Hub in 2016 and Khan Market in 2017 and has many other outlets in the pipeline.

Varun also set up Food Inc in 2012, one of India’s premiere full outdoor-catering services which specialize in Asian, Pan-Indian, Continental and Fusion foods for their events held in India and overseas.

He started Noshi-Yum Asian Delivery in 2016. Varun’s drive to innovate never dies and he hopes to expand these ventures to even greater heights in the coming years.

Working across functions, he has led team across sales, marketing and commercial domains.

A post-graduate from IRMA (Anand), Soni spent nearly three years on an international assignments with Reckitt Benckiser East Africa, driving its business across the East African market between 2005 and 2007.

He is currently the CEO of Modern Foods, the 50-yr old Modern Bread business. Where he moved after a 4-year stint with Cargill as Director of its consumer pack vertical. One of the first businesses to be divested by the Govt of India in the year 1998, Modern Foods was acquired by the PE Fund Everstone Capital in early 2016. Soni is eager to leverage the huge potential that such an iconic brand possesses!

At one end, Ninjacart helps farmers get better prices, consistent demand and immediate payment and on the other end it helps grocery stores, restaurants and modern retailers to source fresh fruits and vegetables at competitive prices. Ninjacart does this effectively at lower cost and larger scale using smart supply chain enabled by strong technology, data science, world class warehouses and integrated logistics network.

Ninjacart started in 2015 as an on-demand grocery delivery company, but soon realized that the back-end supply chain of fruits and vegetables is highly inefficient and broken. To solve a bigger problem, it pivoted to an end-to-end B2B agri marketing platform. Currently, Ninjacart helps 1000+ farmers to sell more than 70+ vegetables and fruits every day to 1000+ retailers and restaurants in Bangalore; processing more than 100 tonnes a day.

Thirukumaran Nagarajan, an Anna University-CEG and IIM K alumnus, has over 8 years of experience and has worked with companies like Axis Bank, Aavishkaar Venture Management, Taxiforsure (Head of Mobile Products) and Commonfloor. Thiru is a serial entrepreneur, before starting Ninjacart, he built Shout App (location based social network, which saw more than 10,000 downloads within 3 months) and EduRaft (an Education Information Platform based out of Chennai).

From Food Preparation to Menu creation, from event planning to Club F&B operations, from Sanitation to Preparation of Reports – Tushar Malkani has honed his skills as Executive and Personal Chef, Consultant, Food Stylist and Photographer.
He has associated with several top hotels in Mumbai and other Indian cities. Tushar is also an Executive Chef for Khar Gymkhana and has guided several brands help improve their reach, create innovative menus and enhance food safety in their premises.
He is also presently shooting for YouTube shows at Sanjeev Kapoor’s Khana Khazana. Along with this, he has a sharp eye for different activities that happen behind the cooking platform. Bhavik Rathod heads UberEATs in India. He was formerly GM, South & West, Uber Rides Business and has been with Uber since the start of Uber India operations in Bangalore in August 2013. After successfully setting up the rides business, Bhavik will now focus on growing UberEATS business in India.
Prior to Uber, Bhavik founded a startup called EmployeeSocial, a company that delivered web based solutions to run social recognitions and manage employee rewards. Prior to that, he worked at Ernst & Young as a manager in the Performance Improvement practice and was responsible for founding a part of the practice in India.
Bhavik holds an MBA from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA and a BE in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
