The Ministry of Food Processing Industries aims at :
- Better utilization and value addition of agricultural produce for enhancement of income of farmers;
- Minimizing wastage at all stages in the food processing chain by the development of infrastructure for storage, transportation and processing of agro-food produce;
- Induction of modern technology into the food processing industries from both domestic and external sources;
- Encourage R&D in food processing for product and process development and improved packaging;
- Provide policy support, and support for creation of Infrastructure, capacity expansion/ Upgradation and other supportive measures form the growth of this sectors;

The formation of Forum of Indian Food Importers was initiated by couple of like-minded importers of food products into India in August 2009. R&B Distillers is an independent Scotch whisky company based in Edinburgh. We are in the process of building a small distillery on the Isle of Raasay in the Inner Hebrides and will begin distilling in April 2017. While we are waiting for our own spirit, we are working
with a Highland distillery to craft two styles of whisky representative of what’s to come. These will include the aptly named Raasay While We Wait, a lightly peated single malt finished in Tuscan red wine casks, and, Borders, a herbaceous wheat-based single grain
finished in Oloroso sherry casks.

We are a privately-owned, family run British food export business based in the North West of England. For the last 15 years, we have specialised in sourcing and distributing British food and drink for the export market. We have built our reputation on offering a highly
efficient and cost effective service, focusing heavily on the requirements of our customers. We support many food manufacturers in accessing international markets with their products.
We do not simply ‘buy and sell’, but work closely with our clients to understand their requirements including the export markets as each one has its own rules and regulations which require navigation. We now supply ten thousand different British food products to 30 locations across the world, with over 150 clients including supermarkets, distributors, importers and other food service companies. We pride ourselves on our comprehensive and diverse product ranges.

Our company has been trading in India for 10 years. We have pioneered a range of five wines suitable for hot spicy Indian food and curries. The wines are best enjoyed served or poured over Ice. This range of wines was test marketed for several years and has withstood
the high temperatures in India without loss of quality or stock. The company has received several accolades for this innovation. As a result of such expertise, our clients have requested we expand our range to include whiskies, spirits, liqueurs, wines and beers. Taylor & Shroff UK with our associate company, Global Taste Ltd UK, have six of the largest drink producers from Scotland, England, Europe and other locations worldwide looking to offer products for distribution exclusively in India.
Our suppliers ship to over 63 countries worldwide offering over 250 International brands. Our supply chain is able to meet the expected volumes for pan India. Our company wishes to promote and serve our clients offering marketing, promotion, advertising and education through teaching the teachers to support our clients in India. We run the logistical framework from our central hub in Mumbai reaching up to 131 depots across India for all customs and excise handling plus storage and clearance processes through to the end users.
